When we lived like children, playing blissfully in the ashes of burnt down cities (churches, townhouses, lives; it made no difference to any of us). I used to walk out on the balcony every evening when I woke up and watch the last traces of the sun as it sank below the horizon (However much it fought it could never stay up long enough to keep us inside, out of the world).
